10 LAWS OF WEARING WAIST BEADS

- Never allow someone else to wear your waistbeads. Your waist beads are now an extension of your body, just as you wouldn’t allow someone to wear your belly ring or nose ring, the same rule applies here. Waist beads are too personal, your hair may entangle on your strand, body fluids or even old skin cells. It’s never okay to swap worn waist beads.
- Never allow strangers to touch your waistbeads. Energy transfers and that’s even when someone touches your beads. You’re not sure what kind of energy nor spirit the stranger has who maybe in awe or intrigued with your beads, just like our hair.. our waist beads are exactly the same..
- Always wear waistbeads under your panties for easy bathroom access. The most common way women break their waist beads is because they wear their beads over their clothing and when it’s time to use the restroom after holding it for 20 minutes longer than you should’ve.. usually you’re certainly in a rush to get those beads under so you can potty quickly and unfortunately a Bead may break due to you pulling down your panties along with your bead. I can’t tell you how many accidents I’ve almost had in the restroom lol.
- If your waist Bead breaks more than twice, keep it off. You may come across a situation where you’d tie a waist bead, it breaks and you retire it or have it restrung, then it breaks again. Everything happens for a reason and maybe that particular strand doesn’t suit you, your energy may not like it, regardless of how pretty it is unfortunately.

- Stick to 1-2 beaders for your waistbeads. Working with beaders and people who help you in your healing process should be people you know or trust. Being sure their intentions and energy aligns with yours. You may always want custom pieces and knowing that your beader knows you best will help your process while ordering so much easier. We typically remember your waist size, your favorite colors, stones and manifestation needs based on past conversation, even your shipping info! Which again helps the process that much smoother.
- Never wear waistbeads gifted to someone else, even if the person simply doesn’t want to wear it. Discard them. I’ve heard many times that someone would put on a waist bead gifted from and to someone else and suddenly they began having nightmares or even random negative things happening in their lives.. be mindful everyone’s intentions aren’t the best when gifting waistbeads, people can put spells or bad juju or your beads and you don’t even realize it.
- Always cleanse your beads when buying from someone new. Simply put, just go ahead on and clear that energy! Get your bead prepared for your energy!
- Always cleanse yourself and bead’s after someone has touched them. If you’ve allowed someone or even strangers to touch your waist beads, just be sure to cleanse yourself and your beads.. again.. energy transfers and bad juju can be done simply by touch, which is why it’s also important to be careful of hand shakes, hugs and any form of physical touch from strangers.
- Never allow your spouse to use your beads as a saddle when love making. Your beads are very sacred and should not be pulled on. In some African cultures it’s a bad sign if your waist bead breaks with your partner. In my opinion, I think so too because clearly he doesn’t respect your adornments. Most black men who are with waist bead wearing women, know this is law and would never. The most they would do is play with them or hold them while sleeping.
- When your beads become too tight, remove them. Please, lol. You can actually cut off your breathing, it may not be noticeable but when your lungs cannot expand large enough for full 100% oxygen intake, you aren’t breathing at your full capacity. Comfort is key when wearing your beads, they should sit delicately on your waist. One sign that your beads are too tight is if you have bead imprints in your skin, everyday. When sleeping your beads can leave imprints depending how you sleep, but if you’re standing up, or just walking and you have bead imprints in your skin, please remove your bead. Remember ladies, these are WAIST beads, not belly beads lol. They should fall on your waist, not hug your belly.
